Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with European engineering testing teams to conduct tests using remote access to HIL systems.
  • Develop, write, and implement new test cases for automotive systems.
  • Execute automated test suites and design new test scenarios as required.
  • Review and interpret system test data across infotainment, HUD, vehicle architecture, headlights, and chassis domains.
  • Analyze testing data, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment between design requirements and validation results.
  • Document software defects using tracking systems and report defects to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed analysis reports for stakeholders and communicate findings to design and testing teams.
  • Utilize specific tools and hardware such as CANape, ControlDesk, DOORS, Jira, INCA, and other automotive industry tools.
  • Work closely with engineers in foreign locations to test ECUs in accordance with established procedures and performance targets.
  • Propose improvements to test efficiency and testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems, software, or electrical engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in analysis or validation roles across multiple automotive systems, including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electronics, mechanical systems, and vehicle testing methods.
  • Good understanding of Diagnostics (ISO 14229) testing and OBD (J1939) standards.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and familiarity with CANalyzer, CANoe, Carmen, dSPACE Control Desk, INCA, Vector Tools, EXAM, and DOORS.
  • Experience with Python and CAPL scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of defect tracking systems like ALM Octane and KPM is an added advantage.
  • Experience with test automation and requirements management tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret component functional requirements, analyze complex datasets, and identify patterns or issues.
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
  • Independent and proactive work style with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams across different countries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
