We are looking for an experienced Axon/Kafka Platform Engineer to manage and enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of our Kafka-based Axon platform to join our customer location at Pune. The role focuses on production support, incident management, monitoring, and automation for large-scale, mission-critical systems. Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and performance of Kafka clusters and Axon platform services
• Monitor systems, manage alerts, and improve observability
• Handle production incidents, perform RCA, and drive resolution
• Support platform upgrades, changes, and release activities
• Automate operational tasks and reduce manual effort (MTTR improvement)
• Collaborate with teams for platform onboarding and best practices
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 6 - 10 yrs of experience required
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms
• Strong knowledge of Linux, and networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience in production support and incident management
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or Java)
• Experience in enterprise Kafka platforms (multi-cluster/multi-region)
• Familiarity with Schema Registry, replication, and security/encryption mechanisms.
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure preferred
