We are looking for an Engineering Lead to drive Systems Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities for a leading aerospace engine OEM. The role involves developing system architectures, managing requirements, leading a small team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality aero-engine system solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in SysML/Capella modelling, requirements management, and automation scripting, along with leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and engage with customers.  If you are passionate about application support, enjoy working in dynamic environments, and want to contribute to a culture of operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain SysML/Capella models for aero-engine systems and subsystems.
2. Support requirements elicitation, decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
3. Create and maintain functional, logical, behavioural, and physical system architectures.
4. Lead interface definition, architecture trade studies, and system design reviews.
5. Ensure consistency between requirements, architecture, verification, and system models.
6. Manage requirements using IBM DOORS/DOORS Next and maintain traceability.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, analysis, controls, and manufacturing.
8. Guide and mentor junior engineers; perform peer reviews of engineering artifacts.
9. Support MBSE tool customization, automation, and integration with PLM/ALM systems.
10. Participate in customer workshops, technical reviews, and communicate project status.

Requirements

1. Strong foundation in Systems Engineering fundamentals and lifecycle processes.
2. Expertise in Requirements Engineering, traceability, and management tools (IBM DOORS/DOORS Next).
3. Proficiency in SysML or Capella-based system modelling.
4. Experience with Python, DXL, or other automation scripting languages.
5. Knowledge of Verification & Validation concepts and aerospace development standards (e.g., ARP4754A, ARP4761) is desirable.
6. Familiarity with PLM integration and interface/configuration management.
7. Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with ability to mentor junior engineers.
9. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills in a global engineering environment.
10. Preferred certifications: INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, OMG SysML, or Cameo Systems Modeler Certification.
