We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our offices to Bangalore along with our established presence in Kochi. The focus of the expansion is on Automotive Electronics & working on making the car of the future autonomous, electric, and connected. As a strategic development partner, we support our customers throughout the entire product development process: from development to system integration to after-sales. In addition, we offer innovative tooling solutions ranging from HIL systems to cloud-based test infrastructures.

 

We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer within the Body Electronics team to join in Bangalore location, with Hybrid working model.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Own the robust design and delivery of multiple electronic components within the Body Domain.
  • Lead technical discussions with suppliers, internal cross-functional teams, and our partner OEMs on the design and integration of donor, modified and innovative new technologies.
  • Define requirements for owned and interfacing components.
  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation as part of the vehicle development process, including component hardware specifications, DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), DVP (Design Verification Plans), Engineering Release, Issue Resolution, and Sign-Off.
  • Produce commodity timing plans to support high level vehicle development milestones.
  • Support component packaging activities, working closely with our Vehicle Integration and Electrical CAD Integration teams.
  • Lead and co-ordinate design reviews, calibration, verification & validation, and certification activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support pre-production builds, ensuring concerns are contained and resolved in the most cost and time effective manner.
  • Support issue management, from problem identification through to introduction of final countermeasure using the companies issue management system.
  • Provide information, support, and training to Manufacturing and Service departments.
  • Prepare reports and feedback to the technical and project management teams.
  • Strive for continuous improvement, identifying best engineering practice within the organization.
  • Help mentor and train junior team members.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of a cross functional team to define, develop and implement new vehicle capabilities.

 

Requirements

 

  • Demonstrable experience (5+ years) of delivering automotive electronics at a systems, component, or vehicle level.
  • Experience of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to vehicle launch.
  • Experience with automotive product development process(es).
  • Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based on CAN, LIN (Ethernet, FlexRay also desirable).
  • Experience in requirements elicitation and management for owned and interfacing components and systems.
  • Experience of Software requirements, test, and validation.
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remain focused under pressure.
  • Ability to priorities workload & manage external inputs/requests without supervision.
  • Willing to take responsibility and make decisions based on best judgement where data is not available.
