Cell concept engineer

We are looking for project managment to join our team in Hefei. As project managment you will work with experienced engineers in automotive industry and will develop yourselves deep into this area.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the described scope and described task for the battery cell development with the suppliers in the region China:

• Scouting of new cell concepts from cell suppliers and continuous knowledge sharing and exchange with global CoE stakeholders;
• Evaluating cell suppliers in the scope of R&D, cell manufacturing;
• Reviewing and expliciting cell requirement and testing spec from VW standards with suppliers;
• Independent planning of workshops and technical meetings with suppliers/sub-suppliers for series projects;
• Conducting reviews and risk analyses, as well as developing measures for component failure analyses
• Monitoring validation tests on suppliers’ cell
• Preparing technical evaluation report (TE-rating) on potential suppliers for nomination of series projects

Required Qualification:

• MS degree in Electrochemistry, Chemical/Electrical Engineering. Ph.D is a plus.
• 3 years+ experience in automotive battery cell design/validation/system integration, hands-on experience on cell design and validation is a plus
• Comprehensive understanding of cathode materials, anode materials, separator and electrolyte
• Knowledge of critical cell manufacturing process
• Familiar with APQP, FMEA and cell test standards
• Skilled with efficient management of complex projects
• Able to communicate effective on different levels
• Power of endurance, team player
• Fluent in English and Chinese, basic German is a plus
