We are seeking skilled Quality Engineers to join our team at our customer's location in in Scotland with a required five-day presence in the office. The ideal candidate will have over 4+ years of hands-on experience in managing critical processes such as Quality Management Review, Concession/Non-conformance Analysis, and Archiving in accordance with formal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Actively review and develop manufacturing processes to ensure they remain within control limits and achieve product quality standards.
- Manage critical processes such as Quality Management Review, Concession/Non-conformance Analysis, and Archiving in accordance with formal procedures.
- Review and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS), compile and communicate quality procedures, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Deploy the Quality Policy strategy effectively within projects, ensuring it is reflected in products and supporting processes.
- Serve as the Quality focal point for suppliers and regulatory authorities, providing support and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Govern manufacturing processes and utilize problem-solving and improvement tools to maintain quality standards.
- Identify training and development needs for Quality Engineering staff through the Performance Development Review (PDR) process.
- Support the Quality Team Leader in addressing people-related issues, including training, development, and performance assessments.
Requirements
- Preferably qualified to HNC level in a related Quality or Engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of AS 9100 standards and regulatory authority approval and certification requirements.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering systems and the ability to deploy quality tools effectively.
- Proficient in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- Ability to travel to support suppliers as required by project needs.
- Decision-making authority guided by established policies and procedures, with reviews typically occurring at the completion of defined projects or stages.
