We’re currently inviting applications for the role of a Vector CAPL Engineers to join our team in Kochi/Trivandrum.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our German RBS team, Rig development & Design team who build and maintain Rest Bus Simulation Environments for ECU testing.
  • Design and Implement RBS Configurations using Vector CANOe, CAPL for simulating ECUS in a test bench.
  • Develop, validate and maintain Rest Bus nodes based on project specific DBC, ARXML, or Ethernet SOME/IP descriptions. 
  • Write and debug CAPL Scripts for simulating ECU’s, handling diagnostics and managing time critical behaviour.
  • Work with Ethernet based communication protocols (SOME/IP) to simulate services and events in CAPL.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of CCM trigger and response message between different ECU’s (CCM Analysis).
  • Investigate / document CCM Failure, root cause analysis. Suggest fixes to the respective team.
  • Raise clear, structured defect tickets (in JIRA, Octane) with reproducible steps, logs and screenshots.
  • Coordinate with HIL teams and Test design, Test Automation teams to resolve test and communication issues.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in Rest bus Simulation, HIL setups or vehicle network testing.
  • Strong Understanding of automotive communication protocols, especially CAN, Ethernet and SOME/IP.
  • Proficient in Vector CANoe, CAPL Programming.
  • Familiarity with ARXML, DBC files and how they used in simulation generation and signal interpretation.
  • Capable of understanding ECU requirements and mapping them into accurate simulations.
  • Comfortable using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git for test management and tracking.
  • Experience in writing modular and reusable CAPL scripts with emphasis on timing control and node simulation.
  • Good analytical and debugging skills is preffered.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, especially in collaborative multi-national team setup.
